“All the talent in the world is in Alameda. We just have a hard time finding eachother.”
-Founder, Benjamin Winter
Before we became the PHOENIX you see today,
this was actually a funky little gallery and studio space called REDUX.
St. Vincent de Paul shut the doors to its popular East Bay storefront and gallery in 2016. Co-founders Benjamin and Saskia were tenants and out of an effort save the art studios the vision of PHOENIX was born.
With a bit of hope, a lot of imagination
and a little help from the locals…
Our mission is to offer Alameda a place to work, gather, and create—all under one roof. A place where Alamedans share their passions, interests, and celebrations in the spirit of community and creativity.
We have built an inspiring and easily transformable space for a private party, work presentation & off-site, art gallery opening, indie movie night, concert, or community meeting. At PHOENIX, the possibilities are truly endless.
So, how does it work?
PHOENIX is fully transformable! Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8am and 6pm we operate as your local co-working and meeting space. Nights and weekends, PHOENIX serves as a venue for community events of all kinds.
Schedule a tour or stop in any time M-F between 9am and 5pm! We’d love to meet you.
“We were studio artists here before and wanted to save the studios and the space.”
