Douglas B. Fresh

Douglas B. Fresh is an artist whose work captures over 50 years of America's cultural touchstones, from TV and movies to punk rock and suburban life. Growing up in the 70s and emerging in Seattle's punk scene in the 80s, his unique perspective blends nostalgia with rebellious energy. Now based in California, his art invites viewers to explore the shared symbols of 20th-century pop culture.

Aparna Krishnamoorthy

Who : I am Aparna Krishnamoorthy, a storyteller through art.

What is my work about : I capture moments using a combination of photographs, still life, an interesting interaction, etc. and transform them into artwork.

What is my style and tools : My work ranges from comics and illustration using a combination of watercolors, color pencils, acrylic and pastels.

I am currently excited to be working on illustrating a children’s book!

David Nyquist

David Nyquist is no stranger to PHOENIX, his artwork has adorned the walls of PHOENIX for years, and now it's official—he's joined us as a studio artist! We’re proud to now be the place where his creativity thrives.

We couldn't be more thrilled to have his incredible talent as part of our community on a daily basis.

David and his wife Amy are also the creators and owners of the Alameda Young Naturalist Club, which has quickly become a beloved service in our Island Community.

Leyla Jamil Rzayeva

Leyla Jamil Rzayeva is a multimedia artist and printmaker whose work explores post-colonial identities, focusing on the Caucasus, West, and Central Asia. Born in Moscow and immigrated from Azerbaijan, her art has been featured at venues like the de Young Museum, Berkeley Art Center, and Root Division. She brings a unique blend of administrative expertise and creativity from her roles at Kala Art Institute, Johns Hopkins, and more.
